Full-day Glassblowing Tuition - One Person

This is an ideal opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the intricacies of glassblowing. Over six hours you will discover the phenominal potential of this unique and alluring material & process. 

We offer dedicated One-on-One tuition, ensuring you maximise the learning opportunities and develop your skills as quickly as possible, or the option to share the day with a friend or loved one. 

Your tutor who will guide you through many of the fundamental processes involved in glass blowing.  The day is very hands-on. You will learn how to gather hot glass from the furnace, blow, shape and add colour to it. You will form glass using wooden blocks, metal tools and even wet newspaper! You will produce some basic forms such as baubles, paperweights, and learn how to punty glass so it can be opened up to create vessels such as tumblers. Your tutor will assist you in the development of your ideas.

This is a much more hands-on experience than our short 'Experiences', or Half-Day workshops and It is ideal for anyone who really wishes to gain a more detailed appreciation of the craft, or to refine specific skills you may have acquired on a previous course. 

Who is it for?

This fun and stimulating experience is for those looking for a proper introduction to the principles and processes of glassblowing. Due to the hands-on nature of this option the minimum age 16 years.

Demand for in-depth tuition into glassblowing is less predicatable than for short experiences. Therefore we schedule dates for these with you directly.
