Greeting Card (Square): Glass Foot CARD-SQ-12
To our knowledge only one person in Britain still uses the traditional casting-on process to apply glass to make stems and feet. Cumbria Crystal master glassblower Steve demonstrates how this is done in the application of molten glass to create a foot on a baluster goblet with a decorative stem.
The process originated in Stourbridge, the home of the British crystal industry in the 1800s. It came to Ulverston in 1976 when glassblowers from the area were persuaded by relocate to establish Cumbria Crystal
