A strikingly beautiful Large Crackle Bowl.
The stunning crackle effect is created by dipping the molten crystal into a vat of cold water during the blowing process. Just before the crystal shatters it is removed from the water and heated in a re-heating chamber at 1400 degrees Centigrade. The process fuses the glass back together leaving a dramatically distinct pattern, without weakening it.

What is there not to love about handmade English crystal. I have been using Cumbrian English crystal for over 40yrs. My first pieces were sherry glasses in Grasemere pattern. I then treated myself to Grasemere champagne flutes. This crystal is timeless and I love seeing it on programs like ‘Downton Abbey’ I have so much Cumbrian crystal and use it daily. Recently I bought the apprentice Christmas baubles and got carried away buying 24. He limited edition 2024 champagne and Martini glasses, well I have bought so many as gifts for friends. If you do decide to buy Cumbrian crystal remember you are buying a bit of English history. A special shout to Tom and Nick ( well everyone really) this team is a team and the passion they have for this beautiful crystal
