Why do you offer discounted crystal through the Outlet??
Every item available from The Outlet requires the same time and care to make as a full-price one. We are loathe to melt down a product that has had many hours lavished on it just because it has a small bubble, etc.
Creating crystal by hand inevitably means there will be some discrepancy between pieces. Maintaining the Premium Quality of core collections means around 50% ends up discounted in our Outlet Shop, or the Outlet section of our website.

Why are you offering such generous discounts on some items?
We have always offered discounts (up to 45% off RRP) for products sold through our Factory Shop and Outlet section of our website. We hope to encourage new and existing customers to start, or expand, their collections or provide the opportunity to purchase a beautiful gift (when stock allows) at a more accessible price.
What is the biggest difference between your core collections and The Outlet at Cumbria Crystal stock?
Our core collections are made to order and handcrafted with the goal of supplying some of the best crystal in the world. Handmade crystal, by it's very nature, can never be perfect as it is crafted using 2000-year old techniques.
The Outlet at Cumbria Crystal offers quality products, which for some reason have not met all the criteria required for our core collections. These criteria vary but may include small bubbles, cord, stone, slight weight variation, colour inconsistency, or slight size discrepancy.
On occasion some Outlet products may be crafted by our partner in the EU. These products are made using 30% lead crystal and with the same traditional skills and techniques.
Is The Outlet at Cumbria Crystal just old stock that doesn't match?
Not at all. The Outlet offers an array of hundreds of products, ranging from our bestselling Grasmere Double Old Fashioned Whisky Tumbler, to sets of discontinued wine glasses. These are all available at a significant discount to our RRP, Premium Quality crystal.
In the Outlet will find many items from our core collections - Grasmere, Helvellyn, Palm, etc. Stock availability varies. If you cannot see a specific product it will not be visible in the Outlet. In this case check again in a few weeks as more stock may be available by then.
Can I buy your products from outside of the UK?
Yes, if we have them available, they can be purchased regardless of geographical location. Our Website will calculate a delivered price for you including shipping and any duties.
Do I need a discount code?
No, all products already have the discount applied to them so you will see the price you will pay.
Can goods from The Outlet at Cumbria Crystal be gift wrapped?
Certainly. We have options for both gift wrapping and gift boxing, which can be found under the Cart section of the website and added to your order.
Is everything on The Outlet at Cumbria Crystal in stock?
It should be! 95% of items listed in The Outlet will be picked, polished, packed and posted by courier within 5 working days. As a very small team, during busy periods we may experience some delays due to the volume of demand, or the need for minor repairs to finish goods.
