Each year Cumbria Crystal invites a group of students from the Royal College of Art, Britain's most famous, post-graduate art & design college, to work with our master cutters to learn to design and cut crystal using traditional processes.
This project offers students professional design experience & opportunity to develop a creative portfolio and to work with some of the most talented cutters in the world.
This collection is the outcome of that collaboration.

What is there not to love about handmade English crystal. I have been using Cumbrian English crystal for over 40yrs. My first pieces were sherry glasses in Grasemere pattern. I then treated myself to Grasemere champagne flutes. This crystal is timeless and I love seeing it on programs like ‘Downton Abbey’ I have so much Cumbrian crystal and use it daily. Recently I bought the apprentice Christmas baubles and got carried away buying 24. He limited edition 2024 champagne and Martini glasses, well I have bought so many as gifts for friends. If you do decide to buy Cumbrian crystal remember you are buying a bit of English history. A special shout to Tom and Nick ( well everyone really) this team is a team and the passion they have for this beautiful crystal
