Christmas Deliveries

With Christmas rapidly approaching and unprecedented last-minute demand for our hand-made crystal as gifts we can no longer guarantee that orders can be delivered in time for Christmas. Options below.

As a small company with only 20 artisans the Christmas trading period is essential to our survival through the year, so we bend over backwards to assist in any way we can. With 800+ different products in our catalogue, and around 1500 items at various stages of production at any one time it is almost impossible to keep a genuinely accurate inventory, so some confusion can occur. 

Sadly, but understandably, our traditional heritage production processes cannot be rushed, with an average item taking 10-12 days to complete from start to finish with total output limited to around 50-70 items per day. This is of course what makes Cumbria Crystal so special and creates such demand. So, to minimise confusion please read the following to the understand various options:.

If your enquiry is NOT time sensitive then please let us know when you place your order – we can then focus our efforts on others in the run up to Christmas. Your order will then be ahead of others in the production queue when we resume in January!

If you are comfortable to place an order, but appreciate that it may not arrive in time for Christmas, please proceed as normal, but please let us know. You can do this during the checkout process, or by emailing us to this effect. Just let us have your

If timing is important:
Please phone us on +44 (0)1229 584 400 (ex 1, or 2 – seven days a week), or contact customerservices@cumbriacrystal.com . We can check available stock & assess delivery times. If goods need to be completed or made, we are happy to offer alternative suggestions based on stock availability.
It may be worth asking us if a ‘Premium Quality’ alternative to the product you are interested in is available. Outlet Products are created as a by-product of the production of our highest quality ‘Premium’ crystal. Hence demand for these limited stocks is often considerable.

We can supply a ‘Commissioning Letter’. If time is just too short to complete/deliver  for Christmas we can supply a personalised letter that explains that you have specially commissioned ‘xxxxxxxx’ crystal product to be hand-made for the recipient. It contains information about the company, our traditional heritage production processes which helps to illustrate why delivery may take a while. Finished products can be delivered directly to the recipient in the New Year. Please let us know if this would be useful.

ACTION: Place your order. Send an e-mail to customerservices@cumbriacrystal.com with your Order Number. This will be sent by post if time permits, otherwise an electronic version will be supplied.

Cumbria Crystal Gift Voucher. Finally, you could consider gifting a voucher. These are available in various denominations. and are valid for 12 months. They can be redeemed against against any Cumbria Crystal product, or service including  Premium Quality crystal, Outlet quality Crystal, Glassblowing Experiences, Personalised
Engraving, etc.
Your loved ones then get to choose the exact product/s they want.
